The Alexander Officer Residence

Built in 1892, the Alexander Officer Home is one of the earliest homes built in the Chicago suburb of Kenilworth.  It's generous size, eclectic style and use of local stone helped set the tone for the high quality of architecture that the community is famous for.  Silsbee combines Shingle Style, Tudor and Queen Anne elements in this carefully detailed and picturesque home.  A massive stone porch, once open to the outdoors, surrounds the entire front of the home.
